Game Changing 3D Printing Materials Antero 800 NA , Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber, Ultem 9085 and Ultem 1010.

FDM materials from Stratasys such as Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber, Antero 800 NA (PEKK), Ultem 9085 and Ultem 1010 are definately changing the manufacturing world. These engineering grade materials are strong, durable and dimensionally stable. Not only do they reduce lead times in the manufacturing process, they are also lighter and have high chemical resistance and flame retardent properties.

Antero 800 NA is a lighter alternative to aluminium and steel, due to its toughness, strength, heat resistance, wear resistance and chemical resistance. Antero 800NA gives you all the design freedom and ease of use of an FDM with the excellent mechanical properties and low outgassing characteristics of PEKK material. The material has approval from Aerospace giants Boeing which means the technology can now be deployed to manufacture higher-fatigue structural components.

Introducing the new FDM Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber material combining 35% of chopped carbon fibers with polyamide 12. Material properties include a high strength-to-weight ratio as well as tensile strength up to scratch with that of other high-performance FDM materials. Of all FDM materials, Nylon 12CF has the highest specific modulus, and given the material’s unique directional orientation of carbon fibres it contains anisotropic properties allowing for it to be used in a similar manner as that of a composite laminate. It ia also the stiffest of all the FDM materials.

Ultem 9085 has a reputation for reliability, this famously overachieving thermoplastic has well-rounded thermal, mechanical and chemical properties that make it superior in most categories. ULTEM 9085 is an FDM thermoplastic ideal for aerospace, automotive and military applications because of its FST (flame, smoke and toxicity) rating, high strength-to-weight ratio and existing certifications. It empowers design and manufacturing engineers to 3D print advanced functional prototypes and end-use parts, without the cost or lead time of traditional tooling.

Ultem 1010 has outstanding strength and thermal stability. Ultem 1010 is the perfect choice for advanced tooling and prototyping applications in the automotive, aerospace, medical and food production industries. With the option to expand its use of additive manufacturing into applications such as custom food production tools and autoclave sterilised medical devices, Ultem 1010 has food-contact and bio compatibility certifications.

At Division X Creative we have the capabilities to print Antero 800 NA, Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber, Ultem 9085 and Ultem 1010 to a size of 914 x 610 x 914mm. Check out our range of FDM materials https://www.divisionxcreative.co.uk/fdm-thermoplastics
